Course overview
Abuse, in its simplest form, is the maltreatment of something or someone. For the purposes of this course, we will focus on the abuse of other people. Abuse implies intention, maltreatment and the violation of the rights of an individual by another. Abuse is often thought of within families, but it is also includes work relationships and friendships. This course will provide an overview of abuse, including definitions, populations affected, the signs of abuse, and reporting.
