Course overview

: The course is designed to familiarize the reader with understanding HIPAA Privacy Rule and Part 2 of the Federal Confidentiality Regulations (known as 42 CFR). These changes are mandatory for substance abuse treatment programs and implementation is mandatory. This course is presented in programmed-learning module that focuses on the specific programs that need to enforce the privacy rule. The training will focus on the language of the new rules and provide direction on implementation of the rules. Additional information relative to patient rights and administrative requirements will be addressed.
