Learner Objectives As a result of having attended the meeting, the participants should have had the opportunity to: • The participant will understand the controversy surrounding the etiology of calciphylaxis. • The participant will understand potential mechanisms by which hyperbaric oxygen is thought to be beneficial in treating calciphylaxis. • The participant will be able to list proposed ways to diagnose calciphylaxis. • The participant will understand how Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been a useful adjunct to assist with tissue healing by promotion of angiogenesis in irradiated tissue • The participant will understand the mechanisms of action for radiation therapy as well as a review of the clinical indications for this therapy. A comprehensive review of the literature will be provided as well as practical guidelines for appropriate treatment of these conditions.
