Course overview
Person-centered planning is an approach to treatment that began in clinical work with individuals with disabilities and has expanded to be used in a variety of populations. In general, person-centered planning is a collection of planning styles with a set of shared principles that focus on the unique needs and personality of the individual. This overview will include information about the historical events that led to the creation of person-centered planning as well as why person-centered planning is important in all behavioral health practice settings today.
