Geriatric Massage: Aging Process

Course overview

This training is to help licensed massage therapists familiarize themselves with what it would be like to work with a geriatric clientele, and some of the things you should consider if you are interested in this line of work. This course provides an instructor lecture about what it is like to provide massage or bodywork for aging clients. It also provides some tips and recommendations when providing massage or bodywork to geriatrics. Science and theoretical information is also provided as to how a massage therapist should adapt their service to accommodate various conditions and diseases associated with aging. This course does NOT provide any hands-on massage demonstrations or practice time.
