Objectives: The goal of this module is to inform nurses about various kinds of child abuse and its implications in the emergency room. This includes physical abuse, neglect, emotional abuse and sexual abuse. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: List the 4 types of child abuse/maltreatmentExplain the implications of abuse for future growthList 2 interventions that can promote patient psychological well-being in the emergency roomDescribe the process for evidence collection in the emergency room
