Course overview

Objectives: The goal of this presentation is to review common musculoskeletal and integumentary conditions seen by the Nurse Practitioner in the adult gerontology acute care setting. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Discuss the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal and integumentary systems Review acute injuries and treatment of the musculoskeletal and integumentary systemIdentify medical complications and treatments associated with the musculoskeletal and integumentary system Determine strategies to prevent complications to the musculoskeletal and integumentary systems in the acute care setting
