Objectives: The goal of this presentation is to review common endocrine disorders seen by the Nurse Practitioner in the adult gerontology acute care setting. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Review the pathophysiology of acute endocrine disorders in the acute care setting Detail treatment options for acute endocrine disorders in the acute care setting Discuss the management of chronic endocrine conditions while hospitalized Outline screening approaches for common endocrine disorders that can contribute to acute conditions
