Course overview

There is scientific evidence to support the use of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) for the management of muscle wasting. What is a biphasic and balanced electrical pulse? Which current waveforms should I used? What's the difference between the ON:OFF ratio and the duty cycle? Why is pulse frequency setting so important? In this first video, the speaker will present the fundamentals of NMES. He will define, outline, and explain the terminology as well as the technical, dosimetric, and application parameters related to the delivery of safe and effective therapeutic applications of neuromuscular electrical stimulation.
