Course overview

Anatomy and physiology of the skin and physiology of wound healing are explained in this course. The course discusses assessment parameters most commonly used in wound evaluation as well as documentation of the wound assessment and progress. Nurses involved in the management of wounds will learn the principles required to assess wounds, determine etiology, monitor and document healing, and create a care management plan.
