Course overview
This course will identify the categories of disorders of glycemia including diabetes mellitus. This course will also address the issues of differential diagnosis of diabetes and proper lab work required for such diagnosis. Also, this course will describe the mechanisms involved in pathogenesis and etiology of diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2. This course will identify issues associated with prevalence of eating disorders in patients with both types of diabetes mellitus. And finally, this course will address the recent developments in the fields of diagnosis, prevention and management of diabetic retinopathy and diabetic neuropathy.
