Purpose Of Course This course's goal is to provide clinicians with knowledge on human trafficking and give specific tools that they may use to identify and assist victims in the clinical setting. Learning Objectives Define human trafficking. Describe the scope of human trafficking as a public health concern. List ways that human trafficking is different than smuggling. Identify key differences between sex trafficking and prostitution. Define trauma-informed care. Identify three common red flags for identification of a victim of labor trafficking. Identify three common red flags for a victim of sexual trafficking. Describe three reasons why a victim does not leave the situation if given the opportunity. List three interview questions that can be used to elicit information in a non threatening way. List three ways a healthcare provider can optimize an interview with a suspected trafficking victim.
