Tracking # 20-588669
Course overview
Elder abuse can affect people of all ethnic and social backgrounds, in their home as well as in healthcare settings. Abuse impacts both the victim and his or her caregivers. It is important for anyone working with or caring for an elder to know the signs of abuse as well as how to report any concerns. This can be particularly important for healthcare providers working with individuals in their homes. This course defines elder abuse, identifies populations of elderly at risk for abuse, and mandated reporting status and requirements.
