Adult Ambulation and Mobility for Home Health Care
Tracking # 20-588697
Course overview
Many individuals return home for care after a hospital stay for a prolonged illness or injury that impacts mobility. They may become frustrated when they cannot move around their home as they desire. Often, mobility and ambulation recovery includes the support of home health care providers skilled in lifting, moving, and supporting an individual with limited mobility. Some individuals may also need help with their basic needs because they not longer possess enough movement control to complete hygiene or other daily tasks without assistance. This course discusses how home health care providers can offer support to individuals with mobility and ambulation issues, whether that includes minimal support or more extensive lifting and transferring needs.
