Course overview

Bullying includes the repeated and unwanted actions by an individual or group intended to intimidate, harass, degrade, or offend one or more persons. Bullying negatively impacts the emotional health and well-being of employees and affects the performance of the entire organization. Bullying has become a serious and growing problem affecting a significant proportion of nursing professionals. It can take many forms and be initiated by co-workers, supervisors, or patients. This course discusses what bullying is, how bullying manifests in a healthcare setting, and strategies to help recognize and prevent bullying behavior.
