Course overview

In this course, Michelle will guide the clinician on an exploration of the sensory needs of children, from infancy to adolescence. They will learn how diverse environments play a role in sensory needs and behavior of children and be instructed on Sensory Integration principles, with a focus on discovering methods to encourage engagement in occupations and support patients and their families. The application of clinical reasoning skills in treatment planning and during sessions will be explored with the goal of optimizing a clients¿ performance. Clinicians will also be supplied with information on how to empower their clients and families with engaging home exercise programs and sensory diets.
