For TCM not only to survive, but to prosper, we need to understand the strength and weakness of TCM versus contemporary western medicine (WM). In this presentation, Dr. Peter Sheng, a Medical Doctor with over 30 years of clinical experience and specializing in the field of Oncology, will summarize the deficiencies of western medical practice, especially in its handling of chronic disorders and how TCM practitioners can improve the quality of life of many patients. TCM should be used to complement WM and in many areas, TCM actually outperforms WM as far as cost, effectiveness, and side effects. This course is based on Dr. Sheng’s 30 plus years of experience in private practice in both TCM and WM and in the past 10 years, a part-time academic career as a volunteer clinical professor in Hematology-Oncology at University of Cincinnati medical school. Dr. Sheng will touch on a variety of chronic disorders. This presentation will serve as vindication of TCM, from the perspective of a physician trained initially in WM.
