Course overview

This course presents evidence-based strategies that allow students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as well as other students who are limited verbally to become more effective communicators. This process is more successful when it is collaborative and systematic in nature. An introduction to autism, the science of applied behavior analysis, strategies for inter professional collaboration will be discussed, as well as direct instruction regarding programming for students who are nonverbal or limited verbally.
