Sleep Disorders Part 3: The Elderly
Tracking # 20-598253
Course overview
Although sleep disorders can affect anyone at any age, older adults and elderly patients suffer from chronic sleep deprivation at higher rates than any other age. There are many factors that can affect an older adult’s quality of sleep, but the primary cause is that it becomes more difficult to maintain sleep as a person ages. Understanding the function of the body’s internal clock is key to recognizing sleep disorders in older patients and offering effective treatment strategies.
