Course overview
This second four-hour course is the companion presentation to Level One Understanding Alzheimer’s disease and other related disorders. It offers the practical take home strategies that caregivers can employ to deal with the various challenges prevalent in the middle/later stages of AD. Strategies are offered for every aspect of care from daily living tasks, communication needs, defusing aggressive behaviors to activities intended to bring back a sense of peace and joy. This course prompts health care providers to step into the world of the person to gain a sense of respect and ethical responsibility needed to facilitate quality of life.
