Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication

Course overview

This course is put together to prepare unlicensed personnels (CNAs, HHAs) to effectively and safely assist residents in Assisted Living facilities with administration of their medications. CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Unlicensed persons, who provide assistance with self-administered medications and have successfully completed the initial four-hour training, must obtain, annually, a minimum of two-hours of continuing education training on providing assistance with self-administered medications and safe medication practices in an assisted living facility.
