The purpose of this program is to inform nurses about the anatomy and physiology of the pancreas and to review conditions of the pancreas. After studying the information here, the learner will be able to: Describe the anatomy and physiology of the pancreas Discuss acute and chronic pancreatitis Review the presentation and management of congenital anomalies and genetic disorders of the pancreas Discuss the presentation and identification of pancreatic fistulas, pseudocysts and organized necrosis Review 4 tumors of the pancreas Discuss the dysfunction of the pancreas in cystic fibrosis
