Learner Objectives: As a result of having attended the meeting, the participants should have had the opportunity to: 1. To explain how factors such as respiratory load, physiologic dead space and chemosensitivity contribute to hypercapnia in diving through reductions in alveolar hypoventilation. 2. To demonstrate the relationship between end-tidal and arterial PCO2 under various conditions, including hyperbaria and hyperoxia. 3. Review the mechanism of action and potential applications of indocyanine green fluorescent angiography 4. Understand the pathophysiology of soft tissue radiation necrosis 5. Describe how indocyanine green fluorescent angiography can be used to optimize clinical outcomes in patients with soft tissue radiation necrosis 6. To understand the importance of appropriate first aid, medical treatment, early cardiorespiratory investigations and recommendations for SDPE patients. 7. To explain how age and other predisposing factors contributed to immersion pulmonary edema - incorporating both swimming induced pulmonary edema (SIPE) and scuba divers pulmonary edema (SDPE).
