Course overview

Accurate and timely documentation is one of the most important things any nurse can do. It is often said, “If it wasn’t charted it wasn’t done.” Through documentation you prove you provided quality care and met nursing standards. It’s often how your facility is reimbursed and how you get paid. Documentation is the tool we use to communicate with other members of the health care team so we can provide consistent, appropriate care and protect both our patients and ourselves.
