NUR124 - Care of the Imminently Dying Patient

Course overview

This course will provide the learner with the requirements for Care of the Imminently Dying Patient and the Family at the very end of life. It includes an evidence-based, compassionate care approach to convey an overall picture of the human bio-psycho-social-spiritual and educational aspect for the imminently dying patient and family unit. The emphasis will be threefold: recognizing death, the death event, and after death care. An addendum on the Imminently Dying Child/Family is also included in this course.
