Course overview

Many of the individuals you work with have special needs that will affect how you communicate with them. The person may be hearing impaired, vision impaired, have aphasia, be disoriented, be from a different culture or speak a different language. All of these persons have special communication needs and using appropriate communication techniques can greatly enhance the care you provide. This online course will address the challenges and strategies for talking with individuals with special needs.
