Course overview

Home health care workers provide hands-on care and personal assistance directly to patients in their own homes. With the dramatic increase in the number of home health care patients, it is important to identify certain occupational hazards and risk factors that may affect home health care workers. This course will cover health and safety hazards in home health care, including unsanitary conditions, violence, sexual harassment, physical hazards, chemical hazards, infectious diseases, and psychological considerations.
