Course overview

Most people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) take some type of medication for relief of symptoms. Many types of medications are available for the treatment of COPD. Knowing the proper technique for using each medication and device needed for administration will go a long way in helping the patient get the most relief from their symptoms. There is no "best" drug regimen for COPD. All individual patients receive medications based on their symptoms and needs. Each person with COPD is different and the plan of care will be determined according to their individual needs and symptoms.
