Course overview

The health care landscape is experiencing significant and rapid change, creating a critical time for health care organizations and an amazing opportunity for health care leadership. Navigating these changes will require administrators and executives to have a powerful vision but also a new set of leadership principles and competencies to meet the shifting roles and responsibilities. As the organizational structure moves from volume- to value-based care, health care professionals will need to develop a much deeper understanding of and ability to offer leadership in the handling of resources (e.g., staff, quality, costs). In addition, they will need to adopt work patterns across the continuum with insights that drive higher performance and better outcomes for all stakeholders (e.g., patients, families, communities).
