Goals The goal of this article is to focus on potential strategies for personalizing antiplatelet treatment by using pharmacogenomics approach to predict drug response, as well as discussing the plausibility of using it to predict the outcome. Objectives Discuss the pharmacogenetics of Aspirin Discuss the clinical applications of oral anti-coagulants Identify the four candidate genes of Aspirin Describe the clinical outcomes of the antiplatelet agents Describe the process of platelet activation Discuss the clinical efficacy of Clopidogrel
