Course overview

The incidence of rotator cuff tears (RCTs) is expected to increase as the population over the age of 65 continues to grow, and will continue to contribute to disability, poor physical function, and increased healthcare costs. The purpose of this course is to educate RNs and APRNs on the anatomy and physiology of the rotator cuff, the pahtophysiology of rotator cuff tears, symptoms, assessment, diagnostic testing, nonsurgical and surgical treatment, management and rehabilitation.
