When Medical Caring Turns into Criminal Killing
Tracking # 20-626741
Course overview
This webinar provides an overview of the role health professionals can play in preventing murder with medication committed by other health professionals. Pharmaceutical products are sometimes viewed as “the perfect weapon” by criminals who have access to pharmaceuticals and the opportunity to use them as murder weapons. This webinar uses a case-study approach to examine situations in which pharmaceuticals have been diverted from therapeutic use to homicidal purposes, as well as the legal consequences to the perpetrator and those who inadvertently allowed the perpetrator to use the pharmaceuticals in the commission of crimes.
