Lamotrigine
Tracking # 20-629593
Course overview
Lamotrigine is an anti-seizure medication that has other uses than for the treatment of epilepsy. Psychiatry clinicians have used lamotrigine for mood stabilizing effects, including antidepressant effects. The efficacy of lamotrigine over placebo and in comparison to other medications for seizure control and for bipolar disorder or depression has been debated in the medical research. In general, it is considered effective as monotherapy and adjunctive therapy for symptom control by both neurology and psychiatry medical sections. No Test Required!
