Course overview

Stroke is one of leading causes of death and significant disability worldwide. Therefore, health care professionals should possess an understand of how to effectively manage stroke patients. This CEU reviews newly identified stroke risk factors in order to increase awareness among health care professionals and improve upon patient care. This CEU also presents a study highlighting the effectiveness of the Stroke Nursing Guideline (SNG), which was developed to provide an overview of evidence based recommendations for the daily nursing care and rehabilitation of patients with stroke.
