Course overview

Urinary tract infections (UTI’s) are a common bacterial infection in the older adult population, both in the community and in the skilled nursing facility. UTI’s have a high rate of misdiagnosis and treatment which makes it imperative that the older adult population gets properly treated for urinary tract infections. The learner will gain knowledge about the difference between symptomatic and asymptomatic, signs and symptoms of UTI’s, and treatments for UTI’s.
