The purpose of this program is to provide an overview of obstetrical complications that may present during labor and delivery and provide management strategies and interventions for the care of the intrapartum patient with complications. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to: Describe nursing interventions for the care of the patient with dysfunctional labor Identify two nursing interventions for the patient with shoulder dystocia Discuss potential risks for the laboring patient with premature rupture of membranes Apply two management strategies for the patient with placenta problems
