The purpose of this program is to provide an overview of the postpartum period and management strategies and procedures utilized in the care of the postpartum patient. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to: Describe parent infant interactions that highlight family adaptation Review nursing management interventions and education for discharge planning Identify at least two techniques for successful breast feeding Discuss nursing management for the woman experiencing difficulty with breast feeding Describe care of the non-breastfeeding mother
