Course overview
This course is designed to survey theoretical and applied concepts appropriate to family psychotherapy in detail. Aspects of family counseling technique and skills, various models of family therapy, and characteristics of the counselor and client family processes specific to theory will be covered in this course. This course suffices a requirement of a Marriage and Family core class that will be taught in the context of a systemic perspective and contextually and culturally specific approach that addresses family relational issues.
