Course overview
This two-day live seminar presents a structured, biomechanics-based framework for analyzing and teaching running technique within the standardized Pose Method model. Participants receive direct instruction in the mechanical principles of running and apply these concepts through supervised practical sessions. The seminar emphasizes real-time movement practice, corrective drill implementation, partner-based observation, and structured video gait analysis. Attendees perform running-specific strength exercises and technique drills under instructor supervision and practice applying a standardized assessment approach in both individual and group instruction settings. Pre- and post-intervention video recording and guided analysis reinforce understanding of movement organization and mechanical loading patterns. Common running-related injuries such as knee pain, shin splints, and iliotibial band syndrome are addressed within the context of running mechanics. The seminar includes 16 contact hours of live, in-person instruction with integrated lecture, practical application, guided discussion, and question-and-answer sessions.
