Pilot study of treatment for adolescents with bipolar disorder receiving dialectical behavior therapy versus treatment as usual. Study measured changes in mania, depression, suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, and non-suicidal self-injury. Findings indicate that DBT may offer promise as an adjunct to pharmacotherapy in the treatment of depressive symptoms and suicidal ideation for adolescents with BP.
