Health clinicians need to be clinically informed and updated on the most recent research and evidence for the use of angiotensin receptor blockers, specifically their pharmacological profile, therapeutic uses, adverse effects, contraindications, and warnings. Additionally, patient monitoring during therapy with an ACE inhibitor, ARBs and risk of angioedema, and ARB overdose are very important clinical considerations to ensure best practice outcomes.

Course Purpose

To provide health clinicians with knowledge about the use of angiotensin receptor blockers to treat hypertension other conditions such as heart failure and diabetic renal disease.

Target Audience

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Registered Nurses, and other Interdisciplinary Health Team Members.
