Course overview

This course focuses on the major components of the Healthcare Delivery System, past and present. You will review interesting concepts from the origination of health insurance to the organization of HMOs and beyond. Multiple health care delivery models will be discussed. A key focus of the course will be health care management's responsibilities to increase the quality and cost effectiveness of the nations health care delivery systems. An ideal course for Nurses in management and administrative or director positions. Independent study with faculty mentoring as needed. This course may be applied to a Health Care Manager Certification track.
