Course overview
This course provides an overview of the financial impact that medical errors have on the healthcare industry. By the end of this course learners will be able to: 1) discuss the impact of medical errors on healthcare organization finance, 2) identify the impact of medical errors on the finances of individual providers, and 3) describe the impact of medical errors on the financial viability of healthcare organizations in the age of healthcare reform. Learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Medical Errors is a required continuing education topic for nurses in the state of Florida. Course is approved for 1.5 continuing education unit-CEU-contact hours for Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states), Florida Certified Nursing Assistants (FL CNA), Social Workers (NASW), and Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC). Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
