Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to: 1. Describe the pathophysiology and goals of treatment for heart failure. 2. Identify natural medicines and health and wellness modalities that are used by heart failure patients. 3. Explain two mechanisms by which conventional drugs and natural medicines can provide benefit in heart failure. 4. Discuss the potential safety concerns with using natural medicines for heart failure. 5. Provide key counseling points to patients regarding the use of natural medicines for heart failure.
