Functional Outcome Measures: Supporting Medical Necessity of Therapy Services

Course overview

This webinar is designed to teach therapists how healthcare insurers use Functional Outcome Measures as a basis for medical necessity. The webinar will discuss the clinical importance of the ICF model as it relates to prior authorization and medical review of outpatient therapy services. Participants will learn the top 12 rehabilitation Functional Outcome Measures used to successfully support outpatient therapy provided to orthopedic, neurologic, and pelvic floor dysfunction patient populations. This course will teach participants to effectively implement functional outcome measure documentation strategies. As a result of this course, therapy providers will increase prior authorization approvals and decrease medical review audit denials.
