Describe 3 or more clinical safety considerations when discussing medical cannabis use with cancer patients. 3. Be aware of current recommendations for protein dietary requirements for patients with cancer 4. Be aware of current research themes in protein nutrition including protein quality and key essential amino acids 5. Identify measures to optimize protein anabolism such as exercise, modulation of inflammation and fatty acid nutrition 6. Understand the prevalence and consequences of malnutrition in older adults with cancer 7. Describe how to screen and assess for malnutrition in older adults with cancer 8. Describe the nutritional support options for older adults with cancer. NOTE: An annual subscription for Purdue's nutrition support pharmacy re-certification program provides access to both the continuing education component of the program and the "Professional Resources" for practitioners. Subscriptions to the continuing educational offerings, which have been accredited through ACPE and BPS, can be purchased for an annual fee of $195 for pharmacists.
