Course objectives include identify high risk occupations for hernia injury and workers compensation claims, describe the anatomy and risks associated with the most common types of hernias, describe diagnostic procedures and indications for their use, describe each treatment modality and associated procedures, risks, and benefits, and discuss general post-operative care and indications for return to work. This course is approved for 2.5 CEUs/contact hours for Nurses (all states), Social Workers (NASW), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in Florida. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. NOTE: This is a click and read course.
