September Counselors Community of Practice: Suicide Prevention

Course overview

As a closed cohort, participants will engage in monthly activities related to school-based mental health and specific disciplines' roles in supporting students, parents, and educational staff. September's cohort aligns with Suicide Prevention month and will highlight programs and services available to reduce suicide ideation and attempts among young people. At the completion of the program, participants will: - Increase knowledge of a school counselor's role in preventing suicide. - Identify evidence-based techniques and programs available to schools to promote suicide prevention programs at multiple levels.
