This two-hour course covers various skin infections. Infections inflicted by mites, Scabies, and by a parasitic insect, lice as in Head and Body Lice. Skin infections caused by a fungus, Ringworm, and by bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics, MRSA. Other infectious diseases caused by viruses, Hand, Foot, and Mouth and Molluscum Contagiosum are detailed. Chickenpox is explored as well as Shingles too. All infections underline transmission, describe symptoms, and list preventions on how to avoid complications. The course examines the possibility of occupational skin exposure, risks, reactions, and exposure prevention in the workplace. Additionally, emphasizing proper hand hygiene and indicating the importance of skin and fingernail care for reducing infection rates among healthcare professionals.
