Course overview

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition triggered by a awful event - either experiencing it or witnessing it. The condition may last months to years, with triggers that may return memories of the trauma accompanied by intense emotional and/or physical reactions. This course will explore Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches to assessing and treating patients affected by PTSD. Key pathogenic factors, etiologies, and patterns involved in PTSD will be discussed as well as point protocols and herbal approaches to treatment.
